About Hockenheim

Hockenheim is a town of 22,000 people (2021) in Northern Baden-Württemberg. It lies on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route.

Understand

The town is most well known for the nearby Hockenheimring motor racing circuit.

Getting there

By train 1 Hockenheim station. Served by regional trains. This 1980s construction replaced the 19th-century station when the Neubaustrecke was built.

By car Autobahn A6 passes just out of town.

Getting around

You'll probably get around on foot. There are buses but they aren't frequent, have few stops in the town and only serve the main street.

1 Hockenheimring. Motor racing course and motor sport museum 2 Gartenschaupark. It was created in 1991 to host the State Horticultural Show. With an area of 16 ha, it is Hockenheim's largest park. 3 Hockenheim's water tower (Hockenheim). The town's landmark was constructed in 1910 in the Art Nouveau style. Eat

There are plenty of local restaurants and shops here ranging from traditional German food to Italian food. There are also döner kebab stores and some fast food chains.
