About 2014 Winter Olympics

The Sochi and Adler articles provide a more comprehensive guide to visiting those cities.

The Games of the XXII Winter Olympiad, the Winter Olympic Games of 2014, were based in Sochi in Russia – in Adler and Krasnaya Polyana to be more specific. The official 16 days of the games was 7-23 February 2014, although some events started before the official opening ceremonies.

The games were followed two weeks later by the Winter Paralympic Games, 7-18 Mar 2014. Most of the paralympic events were held in the same Olympic venues.
