Guanabara Palace

The Guanabara Palace (Palácio Guanabara, formerly known as Paço Isabel) is the official seat of the government of Rio de Janeiro state. It is located on Pinheiro Machado Street (formerly Guanabara Street), in the Laranjeiras neighborhood (bairro), in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro, capital of the homonymous state. The Guanabara Palace should not be confused with Laranjeiras Palace, located in the same neighborhood (at Paulo Cesar Andrade Street, 407), which is the official residence of the Governor of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
