Puig Major ( puutch-mə-ZHOR; Catalan: [ˌput͡ʃ.məˈʒo]) is the highest peak on the Spanish island of Mallorca. With an elevation of 1,445 m (4,741 ft) above sea level. It is situated in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. The mountain was used by the United States for an airbase from 1950 to 1993. It lies within the municipality of Escorca.
