About

Los Humeros is a volcanic caldera located in the municipality of Chignautla in the east of the Mexican state of Puebla. It measures 21 by 15 km (13.0 by 9.3 mi) and is located about 180 km (110 mi) east of Mexico City. The volcano has a history of very explosive eruptions as recent as 6.4 ka, and intermittent lava flows.
