Monument to Sokrates Starynkiewicz in Warsaw

The Sokrates Starynkiewicz Memorial (Pomnik Sokratesa Starynkiewicza) is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, located in the district of Ochota, in the Water Filters complex, near 81 Koszykowa Street. It consists of a bust depicting Sokrates Starynkiewicz, a 19th-century military officer and statesman, who was the mayor of Warsaw from 1875 to 1892. It was originally designed by Jan Woydyga, and unveiled in 1907. It was destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War, and its replica was unveiled in 1996.
