About Wisbech

Wisbech is a town of 32,000 people (2011) in Cambridgeshire, England. Wisbech is noteworthy for its fine examples of Georgian architecture, particularly the parade of houses along the North Brink, which includes the National Trust property of Peckover House and the Crescent, a circus surrounding Wisbech Castle.

Getting there

By train Wisbech used to have three train stations, but they are all closed. The nearest train station is in King's Lynn, about 12 mi (19 km) away.

King's Lynn - once the medieval competitor to Wisbech, Lynn is about 30 minutes away by bus. Ely is a mini cathedral city/market town about an hour's drive to the south of Wisbech. Ely Museum gives an insight into the wider fenland region that both Ely and Wisbech are located in.
