It is home to about 13,000 people (statistical updating, 31 December 2023) It is split into the villages of Wietmarschen, Füchtenfeld, Schwartenpohl, Lohnerbruch, Nordlohne and Lohne. Lohne is the biggest village and has the town hall while Wietmarschen is the second biggest.
Getting there
Wietmarschen lies roughly 8 km west of Lingen, and 13 km northeast of Nordhorn.
