About West Wales

West Wales (Welsh: Gorllewin Cymru) is a common term for the three south-western counties of Wales. It is characterised by rugged coastal scenery, pastoral landscapes, a strong food culture and a north-south divide between Welsh- and English-speaking areas. The region is sometimes called Dyfed, after an historic county and ancient kingdom.

On Wikivoyage, the three counties are covered by different regions:

Carmarthenshire - Hill farming area, as well as sandy beaches

Pembrokeshire - Spectacular rocky coastline with a few good beaches

Ceredigion - Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains
