About Tamura
Tamura (Tamura-shi) is a city in the Fukushima Prefecture, in Honshu, Japan. Tamura was founded in 2005 as a result of a merger of several smaller towns and villages. Funehiki, Miyakoji, Ogoe, Takine, and Tokiwa all now exist as Tamura city. Tamura's sister city is Mansfield, Ohio.

Getting there
The Banetsu East (Ban-etsu-to; or Ban-to) Line from Koriyama makes stops in Kanameta, Funehiki, Iwaki-tokiwa, Ogoe, Sugaya, and Kammata within Tamura city.

1 Abukuma-do Caves. A set of interconnected limestone caves. The popular, family-friendly tourist attraction remains relatively unknown to non-Japanese, despite being the largest in the Tohoku region. Irimizu Cave (Irimizudō), Tamura. Another cave, 6km away from Abukumado Cave. This undeveloped cave is for the hard-core adventurer. Its 3 interconnected courses follow a 10 degree Celsius stream as its snakes its way through darkness. The water height is rarely higher than your ankles and not swift. Water drips from the ceiling so light raincoats or even wetsuits may be a good idea. A hard hat with light is highly recommended. 2 Hoshi no Mura Observatory in Takine. Mushi-Mushi Land in Tokiwa. A rhinoceros beetle theme park. 3 Takizakura in Miharu. An Ancient Sakura (cherry tree)
