Getting there
Suomu is on road 9452 between E63 and Kemijärvi, close to E63. Kemijärvi, with railway, is 42 km to north-west, Rovaniemi, with airport and good connections 90 km farther to the west. Kuusamo, also with airport, is 100 km to the south-east by E63.
Do
Downhill skiing. The slopes to the north are black or red, those to the east are family friendly long slopes through the pine forests. There are also the common (for Lapland) offers of husky and snowmobile safaris, reindeer tours and ice fishing tours.
