Getting there
Rastatt is situated on the A5 motorway and on major railway lines that connect Frankfurt with Basel. The nearest ICE high speed train stops are in Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden. A free-of-charge ferry (Rheinfähre Plittersdorf – Seltz / Bac Seltz – Plittersdorf or Bac de Seltz) crosses the Rhine in the vicinity of Rastatt. On the French side, you can take a regional (TER) train from Strasbourg, get off at the station of Seltz and walk through the picturesque village to the ferry.
