About Pio Duran

Pio Duran is a municipality of the Philippines in the southwest quadrant of Albay and is adjacent to the city of Ligao. Its coastline is facing Burias Pass and has a port going to the island province of Masbate.

It was once called Malacbalac before it was named after the Filipino Pan-Asianist, lawyer and legislator, Pio Saceda Duran (1900–1961).

By plane The nearest airport is in Daraga (DRP IATA).

By bus There are buses from Manila to Pio Duran. The access to the town is via the city of Ligao.

By car Pio Duran is 66 kilometres (41 mi) from Legazpi and 539 kilometres (335 mi) from Manila.
