Understand

Pastavy in the northern part of the country in the Belarusian Lake District, on the Miadziołka River, a tributary of the Dzisna, 20 km from the border with Lithuania.

The R27 and R110 roads intersect in the city.

1 Church of St. Anthony of Padua (Касцёл Святога Антонія Падуанскага). A nice small Gothic Revival church completed in 1904. The interior is well worth seeing. 2 Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (Свята-Мікалаеўская царква). The church was built in 1891–1893. (updated Feb 2023)

3 Tyzenhauz and Przeździecki Palace (Палацава-паркавы комплекс Тызенгаўзаў). This classicist palace of Tyzenhauz was built in the second half of the 18th century. After World War II, it was rebuilt into a hospital, which remains there. Landscape park - fragments of the former park surrounding the palace with a system of ponds, canals and alleys. Market Square, or Lenin Square, with Baroque tenement houses and stalls (2nd half of the 18th century) built for the workers of A. Tyzenhauz's manufactories.
