Getting there

By train Trains on the railway line Gießen - Gelnhausen stop at 1 Bahnhof Lich (Oberhess) hourly.

By bus Lich is connected to neighboring towns via multiple bus line:

372 (Gießen-Schotten/Laubach) 375 (Lich-Gießen) FB-52 (Lich-Butzbach) GI-62 (Lich-Bettenhausen) GI-64 (Lich-Grünberg)

By car The town is connected to motorway A5 via road B457. Parking is available close to the town center at Am Wall and Schlossgasse. The tourist route Deutsche Fachwerkstraße passes through Lich.

Getting around

Within the town, walking is the most useful way of transportation. To get to surrounding villages, use the bus, bike or car.

See

Altstadt (Historic Town Centre). Nearly all houses within the historic center are half-timbered houses, typical for the region. 1 Castle. Not open to the public. 2 Kloster Arnsburg (Arnsburg Abbey). Partially preserved former monastery. 3 Schlosspark. 4 Bürgerpark. Park with playgrounds and pitches.

Buy

Historic City Centre. Some small shops in half timbered houses. Am Wall. A small mall north of the centre. Wochenmarkt. This farmers' market offers local groceries.

Eat

Morandin Gelato e Caffè. Traditional ice cream parlour in the historic city centre. Wiener Altstadtcafé.
