Getting there

By train Trains on the Savonia line (one of Finland's two major north-south lines) stop in Lapinlahti. Trains come in from Kuopio and Iisalmi but sometimes as far as from Helsinki or Rovaniemi.

By bus There are buses from Iisalmi and Kuopio, but also from as far as Oulu and Joensuu.

By car Lapinlahti is next to Highway 5 between Kuopio and Iisalmi.
