About Greenwater

Greenwater is a small town in Washington state, immediately north of Mount Rainier. It hosts basic amenities for visitors to Mount Rainier National Park, and for skiers of the Crystal Mountain resort.

In 2020, it had fewer than 100 residents.

Getting there

State Route 410 (WA-410) runs through Greenwater, connecting Tacoma and the Puget Sound region over Chinook Pass to Yakima and eastern Washington. In winter, this road closes south of Crystal Mountain. It usually closes in November and reopens in June, but is variable based on snowpack. Check the Washington State Department of Transportation for winter travel information.
