Understand
At the 2015 local government reform it became a subdivision of the municipality Fushë-Arrëz. The population at the 2011 census was 1,302. The former municipality has an area of 81.19 km².
Getting there
By bus and ferry: From Shkodër, take a minibus to Koman (about 1h40min), then the ferry to Fierzë (2 hr 30 min). Minibuses leave daily around 06:45 from Hotel Rozafa. By car: Drive from Shkodër via Pukë and Fushë-Arrëz (about 3 hours). Roads are mountainous and winding, but offer beautiful views.
Getting around
Fierzë is a small village, and most areas can be explored on foot. For exploring the surrounding regions or reaching trailheads for hikes, having a vehicle or arranging local transportation is recommended.
