Understand
Domus de janas is Sardinian and can mean house of the fairies or house of the witches. These are a type of tombs cut into rock, dating from about 3400 and 2700 BC. On the inside they are usually decorated with different reliefs and etchings, and one recurring element are false doors, commonly engraved on the back wall of the main chamber.
