Dinan is a medieval town in the department of Côtes-d'Armor, popular with tourists because of its picturesque timber houses, ramparts and stone walls.

Getting there

By train 1 Dinan Train Station. Daily services from Rennes. Apart from Rennes services, Dinan also has trains running to and from St Brieuc and Dol-de-Bretagne.

Railway museum showing off various items of railway paraphernalia, a large collection of train guard hats. You can also buy various model railway objects here. The railway station is worth visiting on its own for the two large frescoes decorating the entrance hall. These show a map of Brittany along with illustrations of the various landmarks. €5.
