Getting there
Burke can be accessed via I-95 (via Franconia-Springfield Parkway or Old Keene Mill Road), I-495 (via Braddock Road), or I-66 (via Fairfax County Parkway). It can also be accessed by Metrorail to Franconia-Springfield, followed by taxi/car/bus. There are also two VRE stations in Burke, one of which doubles as an Amtrak station.
Do
Burke Lake Park: A local park with a five-mile trail, mini-golf, kayaks, a carousel, and more. Admission is free for residents, but there is a charge for non-residents on weekends and holidays. Burke Lake Golf Course: an 18-hole golf course with a driving range and clubhouse.
Sleep
There are no hotels in Burke; one would have to go to Fairfax or Springfield for one.
