May 1-May 28: Tu-Sa 9:30AM-4:30PM; Memorial Day-Labor Day: W-Su 9:30AM-4:30PM; Sep 8-Oct 10: W-Sa 9:30AM-4:30PM, Su 1:30PM-4:30PM. Discovered in 1971, this fossil site captures a snapshot of the area 10-12 million years ago. Over 360 acres are available for hiking and picnicking. There is a visitors center and a viewing platform where visitors can watch people unearth ancient bones. $7.50 per person. (updated May 2021) 2 Neligh Mill State Historic Site, N Street & Wylie Dr, Neligh (on W 2nd St, between US-275 and NE-14), ☏ +1 402-887-4303, [email protected]. May 1-Sep 30 10AM-4:30PM. Constructed in 1873 as a flower mill and operated until 1969. This is the only mill in Nebraska from this era with all of the original equipment still intact. Tours available.
