Nuceria
Nocera Superiore, Italy
Nocera Superiore (Neapolitan: Nucèrë or Nucèrä Superiórë) is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It was the core of the ancient city of Nuceria Alfaterna, later known as Nuceria Constantia, Nuceria Christianorum and then Nuceria Paganorum (Italian: Nocera dei Pagani), which also included the nowadays territories of Nocera Inferiore, Pagani and smaller towns. In other respects, its history up until 1851 is held in common with the adjacent Nocera Inferiore: the two towns share a common origin.
