Prominent Vietnamese American journalist Andy Ngô has left the USA it was revealed on US media, Monday, saying it is “not safe anymore for me”.

The former student journalist at the Portland State University had been on duty the night of former President Donald Trump’s 2016, election victory when he said the reaction of the anti-Trump voters shocked him, describing them as “dressed head-to-toe in black. They carried bats, crowbars and hammers and were “just destroying the hell out of the place” as they rampaged through the city.
As an Asian American, and one of many whose personal cases of discrimination and racism have come to the fore in recent months, however, Ngô was driven out by Antifa – the left wing extremists he had been covering for the past five years – and the group often seen championing themselves as ‘anti-racist’.

Ngô, now a bestselling author on the back of his recent book “Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy” has previously gone on the record as saying about Antifa that “the groundwork (is) being laid for something much worse to come” adding “There was just this overall, not just a shift in the attitudes in the public toward left-wing political violence, but also the hollowing out and weakening of law enforcement institutions.”

In his book Ngô looks deep into the psyche of left-wing anarchists and at one point was faced with the very real possibility of his book not being published due to left wing pressure.

Even now some stores are afraid to carry the book, presumably fearing reprisals from the left wing group.

“It was just not safe anymore for me. I had already been on borrowed time,” said in a recent US media interview.
