There is a relatively new ski centre at Taull or Boi-Taull. This is separate from the old village of Taull, which is reached from Boi at the end of the Boi Valley.

Taüll's economy is based on tourism and livestock. Situated at 1,520 m abore sea level in the valley of Sant Martí, a small valley in the Vall de Boí (Boí Valley) . The closest river is the Sant Martí river, Noguera de Tor affluent. A ravine splits the village in two districts: La Guinsa and Lo Barri. La Guinsa goes from the entrance of the village to the ravine, and Lo Barri goes from the ravine to the high part of the village.

To get to Taüll, from the city of Lleida, take the N-230 road, that begins in Lleida and finishes in Vielha. The N-230 goes through the village of El Pont de Suert. At the end of the village turn right to take the L-500, the main road of the Valley of Boí. Continue on this road after leave behind Barruera until another fork. Turn to the right at L-501, that takes you to the settlements of Boí and Taüll and finishes at the ski station of Boí-Taüll. Buses from El Pont de Suert run to Taull and the ski centre. There are several villages on this bus route, in all of which fine natural scenery is further embellished by beautiful Romanesque churches.

Taull, though a small village, has two beautiful Romanesque churches.

1 Romanesque Church of Sant Climent de Taüll. M-Sa 10:00-14:00, 16:00-19:00, Su 10:00-14:00; Summer: daily 10:00-14:00, 16:00-20:00. Video mapping: 10.15; 11.00; 12.00; 12.45; 13.30; 16.15; 17.00; 17.45; 18.30.. It is a prime example of Catalan Romanesque architecture, located at the southwest entrance of Taüll village. Consecrated on December 10, 1123, by Bishop Ramon Guillem of Roda. First mentioned in a 1064 sale-exchange by Counts of Pallars Sobirà (Artau I and Llúcia) to Counts of Pallars Jussà (Ramon IV and Valença), alongside Erill Castle. Built over an 11th-century predecessor, retaining some fragments like south wall and lower apse. Shared parish with Santa Maria de Taüll; attempted Erill lords' monastic nucleus. Passed to Urgell Diocese in Late Middle Ages under co-rectors system. Key restorations: 1919-1922 mural extractions to MNAC (Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya in Barcelona), 1970s, 2000-2001 (new murals discovered). €5. South-oriented square tower near apses, six stories high. Rustic stone walls without windows except doors (west, south, tower). Regular ashlar courses; west portal under vanished porch. Interior: Naves lack windows; columns (some from bedrock) topped by collarinos (Lombard), simple abaci supporting arches. Apse vaults; walls once fully polychrome. Presbytery column bears consecration inscription in Latin. Events The Fallas festival lights up Vall de Boí's summer nights with ancient fire rituals tied to the solstice, purification, and agrarian cycles. Young villagers (falleros) craft massive pine torches—two-meter resinous trunks bound with wire—or single-piece rantiners, igniting them at high mountain "lighthouses" visible from below. Shoulder-high, the blazing procession snakes down zigzag paths like a fiery river, reaching village squares for communal bonfires. Dances erupt around the flames, blending mysticism with revelry that lasts till dawn. Each hamlet hosts its own: Durro , Boí , Barruera, Erill la Vall, Taüll , Pla de l'Ermita. Originally Fallas happen on June 23rd (saint john eve), but lately every village takes a different date, so more tourists can attend. UNESCO-recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage ("Summer Solstice Fire Festivals in the Pyrenees"), it unites 63 Pyrenean locales across Catalonia, Aragon, France, and Andorra—warding evil, honoring sun gods, ensuring bountiful harvests. In Boí Valley's Romanesque heartland, Fallas fuses pagan roots with Christian saints' feasts, drawing crowds to its primal energy amid Aigüestortes peaks and UNESCO churches. La Pila de Taüll. On Taüll's third Sunday in July, the Dance of Sant Isidre unfolds: youths encircle the saint, grabbing his "garllà" cake as he fends them with his staff. This sparks La Pila—a three-tier human tower in the square. The top man greets four directions, then dances inverted to music. Legend recalls drought-stricken Taüll folk praying to Isidre, who arrived with wine and cake—snatched by unrecognized hungry lads.
