San Vicente is just off coastal motorway A-8. Driving from Madrid, follow A-6 north to Valladolid then A-67 towards Santander to join A-8 at Torrelavega. Alsa buses from Santander run four times a day via Torrelavega, taking 65 min, and continue to Llanes, Oviedo and Gijón. Cantabria buses also run four times a day from Santander, via Torrelavega, Santillana del Mar and Comillas. 1 Estación de Autobuses is the bus station, central in town. San Vicente railway station was 2 km south of town at La Acebosa, but it's disused. This was on the metre-gauge FEVE line, but taken over by RENFE who neglected it. Standard-gauge Cercanías trains from Santander run via Torrelavega only as far west as Cabezón de la Sal.
當地交通
Town is small and walkable, and the closest beaches are 2 km east. Half a dozen taxi firms ply in town.

Beaches lie east of the estuary. They're long and sandy, with building curbed by the nature park: Rosal, Merón, Bederna and Gerra. Further east beyond the rocky headland are Oyambre and La Rabia beaches towards Comillas the next resort. This is the cool breezy Atlantic, good for watersports such as wind-surfing. More sheltered for sun-lounging and kiddy-bathing are La Maza and Puntal, within the estuary near the bridge. Golf: Golf Santa Marina is 3 km east of town. Golf Shangri-La is in the hills 10 km south. El Camino is the collective name for the plexus of pilgrimage trails towards Santiago. The classic route from France is much further inland via León, but when that region was under Moorish occupation pilgrims switched to a route along the coast. The local section of this Camino del Norte is from Santander to Torrelavega, Santillana del Mar, Comillas, San Vicente, Unquera, Llanes and Ribadesella, thence across Asturias to Oviedo.
