關於Mikun
Mikun (Russian: Ми́кунь) is in the southwest of the Komi Republic of Northwestern Russia. It was founded as a gulag settlement in the 1940s and is today home to about 9,000 people. It is an important railway junction for the Russian north, on the line between Kotlas and Vorkuta as well as the line from Syktyvkar to Arkhangelsk.

The closest airport is Syktyvkar, from which it is easy to get to Mikun via rail or road.
By train Mikun's 1 Train Station. is the terminus of the Kotlas-Mikun railway line, from which trains go to destinations throughout the Komi Republic: Ukhta, Pechora, Inta, Sosnogorsk, Vorkuta, and also to Labytnanga. There is also a branch branches south to the Komi capital city of Syktyvkar and to the north towards Koslan. From the Yaroslavl Station in Moscow, there is a direct train to Syktyvkar.

Mikun is 107 kilometers from Syktyvkar, on the P25 highway towards Yarensk via Vogvazdino and Aikino to Mikun.
