Mers-les-Bains is located on the southernmost tip of the Hauts-de-France coastline. It is a small seaside resort that, together with Le Tréport and Eu, forms a larger urban cluster around the estuary of the Bresle River.

Mers-les-Bains is the product of the Belle epoque éra, when seaside vacatiions saw a major boom among the rich of Paris, Mers-les-Bains was one of the closest seaside resorts to Paris and benefited from a railway connection to the town. It is today mostly popular for its promenade filled with wildly decorated villas and the white cliffs surrounding the city.

Belle Époque Villas. Take a pleasant walk along the Esplanade du Général Leclerc and see the colorful, well-preserved Belle Époque villas, which line the seafront, but also extend into the adjacent streets.
