Kisvárda is a small town in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. in north-eastern Hungary. Kisvárda also attracts tourists to its thermal springs, and the ruins of a medieval castle.

By train Kisvárda is on the electric train line between Budapest and Moscow, it is near Nyíregyháza and Záhony by train. It is the third-largest settlement in the region after Nyíregyháza and Mátészalka.

Greek Catholic Church - Built in 1877 with arched Gothic windows and baroque decoration above the door.
1 Kisvárda Castle (kisvárdai vár Kisvárda) (on the northwestern edge of the city’s historic centre, more than 800 m from downtown, near Highway 4149). A 15th-century castle now used as a theatre. (updated Oct 2021) Reformed Church - built in 1871.

(updated Oct 2021) Roman Catholic Church - The church was replaced by a church from the time of St. Ladislaus, part of which was later demolished by the troops of István Bocskai, which was then rebuilt by Kata Várday, but was mostly destroyed during the fire of 1670, only the sanctuary remained. Football: Kisvárda were promoted in 2025 and now play soccer in NB1, the top tier. Their Várkerti Stadion (capacity 2850) is north side of town. Kisvárda Festival of Hungarian Theaters Every summer the largest music festival in the region, the LESZ Festival, is held here.
