Frankfurt Airport旅遊指南

城市概覽

Frankfurt Airport is among the busiest in Europe, fourth in passenger traffic after London Heathrow Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport; it is also the twelfth busiest airport in the world. This is due to various factors: Frankfurt is Germany's financial capital, and is centrally between western Germany's major metropolitan regions (the Ruhr and Munich). Frankfurt is the main hub of German flag carrier Lufthansa. Lufthansa and the airport have had a symbiotic relationship for decades and both have grown enormously as a result. Lufthansa holds some shares in the airport, with most of it still publicly owned (Lufthansa was fully privatized in the 1990s but retains informal political connections). Most of Lufthansa's long-haul flights originate or terminate in Frankfurt. Many other airlines also serve the airport, including almost all other Star Alliance carriers. Easyjet and Wizz Air are the no frills airlines with a minor presence at the airport; Ryanair no longer operates here. Lufthansa still flies all domestic routes to and from Frankfurt despite having transferred other domestic routes to its subsidiary Eurowings. Lufthansa also uses some ICE trains from Stuttgart and Cologne as "feeder flights" to the airport as part of its air rail alliance with Deutsche Bahn.

Landside Navigation

Frankfurt Airport’s vast layout across Terminals 1 and 2 can be complex to navigate in the public (landside) area. The SkyLine people mover, located on Level 3 in Terminal 1 (Concourses A, B, and C) and Level 2 in Terminal 2 (Concourses D and E), offers a quick connection between terminals in about 2–3 minutes. Alternatively, a free yellow terminal shuttle bus links Terminals 1 and 2, stopping outside each terminal and at the P36 bus parking area, with a journey time of around 10 minutes; be cautious not to board public buses to Frankfurt or nearby cities, which require a ticket. For those who prefer walking, a pedestrian path along outdoor routes connects Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, taking about 20–30 minutes depending on pace and luggage, though signage can be sparse. Passengers with reduced mobility can use elevators or request PRM shuttle services at information desks, located near Concourse A in Terminal 1 and Concourse D in Terminal 2, to ease navigation. Clear signage help guide you to gates, shops, or dining options across multiple levels in both terminals.

Airside navigation Within the secure (airside) area, transferring between gates or terminals requires careful planning due to significant distances, especially in Concourse A-Plus, which can take 10–15 minutes to cross on foot. For non-Schengen departures from Terminal 1, pass through security to enter the Schengen area, then proceed via passport control to non-Schengen gates in Concourses Z (gates Z11–69), B (gates B20–63), C (gates C2–20), D (gates D1–54), or E (gates E2–13). A walkway connects Concourses A (gates A1–69) and B (gates B1–19) in Terminal 1’s Schengen area, taking about 5–10 minutes. For transfers between Terminals 1 and 2, the SkyLine people mover links Concourse A, B, C and Z in Terminal 1 to Concourses D and E in Terminal 2, serving both Schengen and non-Schengen passengers, or you can use the airside CD corridor walkway, which takes around 15 minutes and is idea

Multiple ATMs are available in both terminals landside and airside. The machines are operated by Deutsche Bank, Reisebank, Travelex and Sparkasse. Deutsche Bank also offers full banking services in Terminal 1, level U1, concouse B. Some Travelex and Deutsche Bank ATMs offer USD and EUR withdrawals. There are a number of fashion shops, newsagents and a pharmacy in Terminal 1 landside, level 2 concentrated in area B and towards A. There is a new shopping area including the Tegut supermarket on level 0. As this is the only place open a Sunday in the area it is also useful for emergency purchases. There are the typical duty free and luxury shops airside of Terminal 1 in areas B and Z.
