城市概覽

The area has been inhabited for at least 6000 years. After the Hungarians occupied the area, it became part of Újvár comitatus (later Abaúj county). The first recorded mention of the village was in 1219. It gained town status in 1984.

By train Trains are available in every two hours from Budapest-Keleti pályaudvar via Miskolc. The journey takes about 2½ hours and costs 4250 Ft. Other direct connections are:
