The town of Pont de Suert has a beautiful modern parish church, built at the expense of the hydroelectric companies in the 1960s, but it preserves, in the old town and by the river, the old parish church. In addition, within the town there is also the chapel of Santa Anna. Within the municipality, at the eastern end of the old town, there was the monastery of Santa Maria de Lavaix, a pile of ruins flooded by the Escales reservoir.

體驗活動

visit the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park The Fallas are an ancestral tradition linked to the summer solstice that is celebrated in several valleys of the Central Pyrenees. There are variations in the way this tradition is celebrated, but their high ethnographic value has led to them being recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity under the collective name of Summer Solstice Fire Festivals in the Pyrenees. On the eve of Sant Joan, the magical night, the fallaires climb the lighthouse with the falla on their necks, equipped with firecrackers to make noise. Around ten o'clock in the evening, already pitch black, they light the lighthouse and with the torches lit, the falla procession begins. The route is winding and the fallaires follow the winding paths, forming a fiery snake. At the sight of the town, when they hear the bells of the Old Church ringing, they start running, cross the Aragó lever, go up the Carrer d'Avall towards the Plaça Major and the Mercadal, and there they line up in a row and throw the fallas in the centre, forming a large bonfire; then drinks are distributed and the evening begins until dawn.
