城市概覽

Czeladź has two distinct faces. The first is the old town, with the market square, parish church and traces of a medieval urban layout. The second is the industrial town that developed in the 19th and 20th centuries around coal mining, especially the Saturn and Czeladź mines. The townscape includes palaces and villas connected with former mining companies, workers' housing, industrial heritage buildings, parks and sites connected with Jewish history. Czeladź has no active railway station, but it is well connected by buses, trams in the Piaski area and the GZM public bicycle system. Allow 3–5 hours for the market square, church, Grabek Park, Saturn Museum and Elektrownia Gallery. With Saturn Palace, Termy Rzymskie, Grabek Park and Piaski, Czeladź can fill a full day.
