Travelers from southern Sweden typically take a train to Norrland and then transfer to buses heading to Sorsele. Airports in Arvidsjaur, Lycksele, Hemavan, and Umeå provide access to the region. From Hemavan, there are regular helicopter trips to Ammarnäs. By car, one can drive to Sorsele and then take road 363 to Ammarnäs.
