Chih-Yung Ho is the Deputy Director of the International Affairs Department of Taiwan’s Kuomintang – the KMT – and also the party’s official spokesperson.

A couple of weeks ago he sat down with The Taiwan Times in his office in Taipei to discuss the modern face of the KMT, his own role within the party, and why he supports a certain Taiwanese baseball team over all the others – it wasn’t really a choice without influence.

An amiable man with a clear vision of the future for Taiwan, he offered valuable insights into the KMT today, with some interesting tidbits even the most aware political observers here in Taiwan would not know, as well as some more general introductions to the party for people listening around the world.
