For the last few days, Russian missiles are targeting Ukraine city. They are firing Dozens of missiles at important locations in the city. Reports suggest that these are the heaviest bombed of missile attacks since the war began.
According to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, the missile hit the capital Kyiv. The explosions hospitalized at least 3 people, one of which is a 14-year-old girl. The blasts also hit other cities like Kharkiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Zhytomyr.
Ukraine’s military said 69 missiles came from Russia. The missile or air defense system intercepted 54 of them. Others hit the land and did the large-scale disruption. According to Presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak, Russia launched 120 missiles earlier aimed at major infrastructures.
The missile blasts lasted 5 hours. Reports suggest the missiles were air and sea-based cruise missile launched from various directions. The attack also included some Kamikaze drones.
Mr. Klitschko said that the air defense system over the city destroyed 16 missiles. The debris from intercepted missile damaged two homes. The Mayer reported seven missiles intercepted in the southern area of the city. There were reports of missile attacks in the western region as well.
There are reports of 21 intercepted missiles in the Odesa region. The Mayer announced that the fragment from the intercepted missile hit residential buildings. The fragments damaged the buildings, but there were no casualties.
The missile aims for crucial infrastructures. 90% of the city was without power, says Mayer of Lviv. A similar statement came from Mr. Klitschko, saying 40% of Kyiv’s city is without power.
Ukraine’s southern command already alerted for a missile attack from the Black sea. Moscow is saying that their missile is not targeting civilians or crucial infrastructure. But Russian President Vladimir Putin recently admitted that the missile hit the energy plants of Ukraine. In the last month, Ukraine shot down 60 missiles out of 70 launched by Russian forces.
