A news poll by a leading American television channel has discovered that the vast majority of Americans do not believe in the current left wing rhetoric sweeping the Internet that police forces across the US should be defunded.

Figures of those polled by FOX News showed that registered voters believe almost 2-1 (62% – 33%) that funds allocated to law enforcement should not be reallocated to other public sectors.

The poll took place in mid April against the backdrop of the George Floyd trial in which a white police officer was convicted of killing African American career criminal George Floyd last May.
Figures from the poll showed that US Republicans and conservative leaning older voters were more likely to be opposed to any cuts to law enforcement funding, while just over half of those identifying as Democrats – 54% – were more geared towards funding cuts.
Black American voters at 51% also favoured the cuts as did younger Americans.
For months the US has suffered at the hands of left wing youths influenced by ANTIFA – an increasingly violent group labeled as far back as 2016, by the Obama Administration as committing acts of “domestic terrorist violence.”
Cities across the US have seen frequent bouts of rioting and damage to property and infrastructure throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all linked to left wing groups such as ANTIFA.
