SpiceJet has announced the launch of a daily non-stop flight connecting Delhi with Pakyong (Gangtok), Sikkim effective 23rd January, 2021.

SpiceJet was awarded Pakyong under UDAN II.*

Pakyong airport is the only operational civil airport handling commercial flight operations in the State, and SpiceJet will be the first and only airline to offer daily direct air connectivity between Delhi and the North-Eastern State of Sikkim. The airline will deploy a Bombardier Q400 aircraft on the Delhi-Pakyong-Delhi route.

In addition, India’s favourite airline and the largest regional player SpiceJet will add a second frequency on the Delhi-Leh-Delhi sector starting 27th January, 2021.

Commenting on the new initiative, SpiceJet Chairman & Managing Director Ajay Singh said the company is delighted to launch new flights connecting Pakyong and Leh to the National Capital.

“Sikkim is one of the most beautiful and sought after travel destinations in India. Our exclusive flights from Delhi to Pakyong (Gangtok) will cater to the growing demand of leisure travellers and backpackers who wanted to visit this beautiful city in the foothills of Himalayas,” Mr. Singh said.

With the launch of these new flights, SpiceJet Chairman & Managing Director Ajay Singh said the company aims to make journeys shorter and the stays longer at these beautiful destinations.”

The airline has announced an introductory promotional fare starting at INR 4310 /- on Delhi-Pakyong and Pakyong-Delhi route

With the launch of the new flight services, passengers from Pakyong and Leh can now conveniently travel to a host of other cities both on SpiceJet’s domestic as well as international network via multiple onward connections from Delhi.

Bookings are now open on www.spicejet.com, SpiceJet’s mobile app and through online travel portals and travel agents.

SpiceJet is India’s favourite airline that has made flying affordable for more Indians than ever before.

The airline operates a fleet of Boeing 737s, Bombardier Q-400s & freighters and is the country’s largest regional player operating 59 daily flights under UDAN or the Regional Connectivity Scheme.

The majority of the airline’s fleet offers SpiceMax, the most spacious economy class seating in India.

The airline also operates a dedicated air cargo service under the brand name SpiceXpress offering safe, on-time, efficient and seamless cargo connectivity across India and on international routes.
