Fire at Henan city massage parlor kills six, five rescued

A serious fire broke out in Lingbao City, Henan Province, China, at a massage parlour, killing six people and rescuing five. Preliminary investigations indicate that the cause of the blaze remains under inquiry, but the incident has drawn attention from local authorities and residents.

Taiwan also hosts similar massage parlours and related businesses, and its government and regulatory bodies are urged to reinforce oversight, conduct stricter safety checks, and clamp down on illegal activities. Moreover, Taiwan’s fire‑safety and emergency‑management agencies need to boost training and drills to ensure a rapid and effective response should comparable accidents occur.
