Doctors Without Borders deploys to Sudan's Darfur for humanitarian medical aid.

Amid ongoing cholera outbreaks in Sudan's West Kordofan and North Kordofan states, Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres, MSF) has deployed to the Darfur region to provide humanitarian medical assistance. The organization is a prominent non-governmental organization (NGO) renowned for its medical programs in conflict zones and disease-affected countries.

Founded in 1971, MSF originated from the Biafra famine during the Nigerian Civil War. Established by a small group of French doctors and journalists, the organization aims to deliver medical services across national borders and regardless of race, religion, belief, or political affiliation. Today, MSF operates in more than 75 countries worldwide, with a workforce exceeding 67,000 personnel—the majority of whom are local doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, logistical experts, water and sanitation engineers, and administrative staff. The organization is primarily funded by private donations, which account for approximately 98 percent of its annual revenue, totaling around 2.36 billion euros.
