About
The Al-Andalusía Islamic University of Spain (Universidad Islámica de España Al-Andalusía) is an Islamic-based private higher education institution based in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. This university is the result of the development of the Al-Andalusía Higher Institute of Islamic Sciences of Spain which was initiated by local Islamic scholar, Mohammad Idrissi Alcaraz. Since its founding, this institution has been known as the first Islamic university to operate physically in the Iberian Peninsula after a period of more than 700 years since the collapse of the Al-Andalus civilization.
