Marshal Fahim National Defense University (MFNDU) is a military university located in Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan. Established in 2005, the university is named after the late Marshal Mohammad Fahim, an Afghan political and military leader who served as the first vice president of Afghanistan from 2004 until his death in 2014.

MFNDU educates and trains military officers, senior civil servants, and professionals from various government and non-government organizations in Afghanistan and other partner nations.

MFNDU provides undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs in various fields, including military science, defense studies, strategic studies, leadership and management, international relations, law, and engineering. The university also offers short-term courses, workshops, and seminars for professionals in specific fields, conducts research on various security and defense-related issues, and publishes academic papers, reports, and policy briefs.

The faculty at Marshal Fahim National Defense University comprises military officers, civil servants, and scholars.
