Wei Chuan Dragons celebrate CPBL championship with a fan victory parade November 22

The CPBL's Wei Chuan Dragons demonstrated remarkable team resilience this season, overcoming numerous obstacles to ultimately emerge victorious in the Taiwan Series and claim the supreme honor of the Chinese Professional Baseball League's annual championship. To share this hard-earned championship trophy with all fans and citizens who have supported the team along the way, the Wei Chuan Dragons organization officially announced a series of grand celebration events. The most anticipated highlight is the championship parade scheduled to grandly debut on November 22. The parade will set off from the team's home base at Tianmu Baseball Park, traveling along landmark routes in downtown Taipei to allow players to receive cheers and congratulations from citizens up close, spreading the joy of the championship to every corner of the city.

In addition to the highly anticipated championship parade, the team has also carefully arranged a rich two-day Thanksgiving Fan Festival scheduled for November 21 and 22, to be held at the Tianmu home stadium as well. Looking back at the Wei Chuan Dragons' journey since returning to the CPBL first-team arena, the organization has actively cultivated a localized identity, transforming Tianmu Baseball Park into a distinctive intimidating home turf. It has consistently won praise for its hardware facilities and stadium atmosphere while successfully uniting the identity of local residents and fans. This Thanksgiving Fan Festival is meticulously planned by the organization to give back to fans for their unwavering support throughout the year. It is expected to feature a rich variety of content, including player-fan interactions, autograph sessions, and ballpark experiences, giving fans the chance to shed the tension of watching games and interact closely with their favorite star players in a relaxed and joyful mood.

The Wei Chuan Dragons' ability to return to glory within just a few years and capture the championship symbolizing the highest achievement in the Chinese Professional Baseball League represents not only the maturation of the team's overall combat strength, but also the culmination of the coaching staff's tactical deployment, the players' unyielding efforts on the field, and the quiet hard work of the logistics team. Starting from 2019 when the Wei Chuan Dragons announced their reorganization and joined the CPBL minor leagues, the team experienced starting from scratch with drafts and the development of young players, leading up to the baptism of fire upon officially stepping onto the first-team stage in 2021. Every step was taken solidly yet full of challenges. Manager Yeh Chun-chang led a relatively young team through scientific training and rigorous game strategies, allowing these potential rising stars to grow rapidly and display stress resistance and maturity beyond their years during critical moments of this season, ultimately creating the miraculous record of winning the championship shortly after returning to the professional first team.

Choosing Tianmu as the starting point for this championship parade and traveling through downtown Taipei also serves as a successful model of combining urban marketing and sports for both the Wei Chuan Dragons and the Taipei City Government. As the premier city of Taiwan, Taipei possesses a massive population base and a highly watched sports market. By making Tianmu Baseball Park their home ground, the Wei Chuan Dragons have not only stimulated the commercial economy of the Shilin and Tianmu areas, but have also made baseball an indispensable topic in the lives of citizens. Through the championship parade, the team brings the glory directly back to the city streets, which not only inspires citizens' loyalty to the local team, but also helps promote the overall development of Taiwan's baseball sport, attracting more younger generations and family audiences to step into the ballpark and experience the passion and emotion of live viewing.

As the Thanksgiving Fan Festival and championship parade approach on November 21 and 22, the Wei Chuan Dragons organization is working intensively on various preparations to ensure that crowd flow, safety, and fan experience on the days of the events reach the highest standards. These two days of events are not only the perfect conclusion to this season, but also an important starting point for the team as it moves toward the next dynasty. For Wei Chuan Dragons fans, this is a moment of glory worth remembering forever; for Taiwan's professional baseball environment, it once again proves the strong cohesion and social impact that can be generated when a team dedicates itself to localized management and players give their all to repay their fans. The organization hopes to extend the pride belonging to all Dragons fans through these celebration activities, and to store up the most adequate momentum and energy for next year's title defense path.
