Shih Jen-hsiang, the ace pitcher of Taipei City's Chung-Ching Junior High School team, delivered a steady pitching performance in this game and also contributed with an exceptional batting performance, helping his team secure third place and win valuable glory.

In a post-match interview, Shih mentioned that this was his first time stepping onto a professional baseball pitcher's mound. Compared to the mounds at high schools or school teams, the ground at the Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium is firmer, and pitchers experience stronger rebound force. Shih noted that this firmness makes it "better to pitch," because the ball rebounds faster and its speed is more consistent, allowing him to better control the ball's trajectory. For a young pitcher looking to improve his skills, this was undoubtedly a rare learning opportunity.

On the eve of the game, the stadium exterior was enveloped in thick fog, resulting in poor weather conditions. Originally scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM, the game was delayed until late afternoon by the organizers due to the fog affecting visibility. Shih recalled that while the delay brought inconvenience, it also gave him more time to adjust his mindset. During this period, he and his teammates held a brief tactical discussion in the locker room and, under the guidance of the coach, adjusted their pitching tempo and grip, ultimately maintaining a stable performance during the game.

In the context of youth baseball development, being able to play on a professional-level venue has a tremendous positive impact on a player's psychology and technique. Shih stated that standing on the professional pitcher's mound, the pressure and sense of responsibility he felt far exceeded regular school team games. This experience made him more aware of his shortcomings in pitching techniques and inspired a higher motivation to learn.
