Yuanlin Police Arrest Three Suspects and Seize Drugs in Land Dispute Stabbing

In downtown Yuanlin City, Changhua County, police received a report on the 25th that a man had been slashed and injured following a dispute over a land transaction. Upon investigation, the injured man was identified as a local resident who sustained multiple knife wounds across his body. His condition stabilized after receiving emergency treatment at a hospital. Police quickly locked onto a suspected vehicle involved in the case and intercepted it in downtown Yuanlin that same night. Three suspects, a kitchen knife, and a small amount of drugs were found inside the vehicle. The case has been referred to the prosecutors office for investigation on charges including attempted murder.

Police detained the suspects on the spot and transferred the relevant evidence to forensic and identification units for analysis.

According to relevant provisions of the Criminal Code, if a suspect has inflicted severe injury on a victim and demonstrated intent to commit murder, they can be prosecuted for attempted murder. Police have referred the case to the prosecutors office, leveling multiple charges including attempted murder, assault, and drug possession. The prosecutors office will further review the evidence to decide whether to formally file a case and institute public prosecution.
