Taitung Council Speaker Lin Tsun-han Released on Bail in Resort Road Case

Taitung County Council Deputy Speaker Lin Tsung-han was officially named as a defendant by prosecutors and investigators on the 15th, in a case involving the widening of the Jianhe Agricultural Road suspected of benefiting a resort development project. According to the Central News Agency, judicial authorities transferred Lin to the Taitung District Prosecutors Office following questioning. After a secondary interrogation by the prosecutor that evening, Lin was released on a NT$1 million bail pending the completion of subsequent investigation and trial procedures.

The Jianhe Agricultural Road is a major thoroughfare connecting important agricultural areas within Taitung County to external transportation networks.
