Closed Kaohsiung Wellness Center Drug Deal Triggers Double Murder, Shocks Community

A severe conflict occurred at a closed wellness center in Kaohsiung City's Fengshan District, resulting in two deaths and one injury. The incident took place on September 28, 2024, and the victims were all customers staying inside the establishment. According to preliminary police investigations, the dispute began after a man surnamed Tung purchased drugs from a man surnamed Chuang, and an argument ensued due to a failure to settle the credit on time. Both parties lost control of their emotions, ultimately escalating into a violent clash.

According to reports, after completing the drug transaction with Chuang inside the wellness center, Tung requested credit. Chuang refused or was unable to pay immediately, leading to a clash between the two. As the conflict escalated, Tung, along with his older brother and two accomplices, entered the wellness center armed with knives and launched an attack on Chuang and two customers who were with him. During the attack, Chuang and one customer were stabbed to death, while another customer sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Police arrived at the scene promptly after the incident to conduct on-site inspections, confirming the deaths of the victims and examining the injuries of the survivor. Following preliminary investigations, police have arrested Tung, his older brother, and the two accomplices involved in the case. The four suspects are currently in custody, and police stated that they will launch a formal investigation on charges including murder, while further probing the details surrounding the drug transaction and the credit dispute.
