The Avon River is a river in Western Australia. It flows 240 kilometres (150 mi) with a catchment area of 125,000 square kilometres (48, 000 sq mi) in the state's Wheatbelt region. When the Avon reaches the Wooroloo Brook in the Walyunga National Park it becomes the Swan River, which flows through the Perth metropolitan area to its mouth at Fremantle Harbour.
