Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a road course auto racing facility in the United States, located in Troy Township, Morrow County, Ohio, just outside the village of Lexington. Between Columbus and Cleveland, it hosts a number of racing series such as IndyCar, IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, MotoAmerica, and other club events such has SCCA, WERA, and National Auto Sport Association. The Mid-Ohio course has 15 turns over its 2.40-mile (3.86 km) length, and is known to favor drivers with technical expertise, finesse, and plenty of patience. The features of the track include rolling terrain and elevation changes. Its grandstand seats 12,000 and three observation mounds alongside the track raise the capacity to over 75,000. Mid-Ohio is classified as an FIA Grade Two circuit.
