White Bay Power Station

The White Bay Power Station is a heritage listed former coal-fired power station on a 38,000 m2 (410, 000 ft2) site in White Bay, in the suburb of Rozelle, 3 km (2 mi) from Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. The remains of the plant can be clearly seen at the western end of the Anzac Bridge, at the junction of Victoria Road and Roberts Street. The station was inactive for a number of years. However the plant reopened for the 2024 Sydney Biennale art exhibition. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The station is often wrongly referred to as the Balmain Power Station, a plant originally located in Iron Cove, which has since been demolished.
